My first listen to Alice cooper was welcome to my nightmare, in whities house when I was 15 (1977) Stephen was my favorite track , we used to play poker dice and go to the shows (fun fair) they used to bring the shows to the public park in Johnstone and everyone would go but because Johnstone was made up of several different areas you would or could get into trouble depending which area had more representatives. The last time I was at the shows in Johnstone was in 1978 Baker street and Wothering heights were in the charts and being blasted out on the waltzers Those were the days. |

What can I say about Billy Connolly, Except my mother laughed. but she never condoned his bad language. It was during the Three day week I first got a good listen to Billy. He has a gift of bringing real life, the things we all go through, out of the mundane and into the hysterical. My all time great is when his Mother (or your Mother) is entertaining the priest in the living room with a cup of tea and a scone. and the Kids are in the bedroom playing and because their was no central heating in those days you would put coats on the beds to keep the kids warm at night ( makes sense) Well the kids are causing mayhem in the room and the noise is disturbing the Priest and the Mother shouts through "what's all the noise in there me and the Father are trying to talk and we can't hear ourselves think in here" and the reply is "but Mammy its that Billy he's got more coats than me" And the Mother looking at the Priest replies "Oh you silly girl what do you mean coats that's an eiderdown." She then looks at the priest and smiles "Oh those kids they have a vivid imagination, have another scone Father" meanwhile there is absolute bedlam going on in the bedroom and the Mother loses her patience. "right you two that is enough, what is going on in there?" Suddenly sobs come from the room "but mammy its no fair, that Billy has got his legs down the sleeves of the eiderdown! He was pure dead brilliant!

Ozzy is a legend , however he may not have been without Sabbath This is the World Wide Web site for the premiere heavy metal band, Black Sabbath. Sabbath's been around in some form or another now for the better part of 40 years or so (depends when you start counting, I guess). If you're a fan of quality metal, then this is the site for you! The site is maintained by Joe Siegler.

David Bowie is one of my most favorite artists who has been able to change with every coming year and not lose any of his identity. All the madmen is one of my favorite songs but my son, when he was only 3 years old, was singing Star man in the back of the car one day and my wife and I turned round and looked at each other and from that day on we always watched what we have said in front of the children!!!!!!

Cockney Rebel was formed by Steve Harley in 1973 and was signed to EMI Records after just 5 gigs at London's Speakeasy club. The band comprised Steve Harley (who was the songwriter) on vocals and acoustic guitar, Stuart Elliot (an amazing young drummer whose timing was so tight he was like a human drum machine), John Crocker on violin, mandolin and guitar (a bluegrass fiddler at heart) and funky bass player Paul Avron Jeffreys. Keyboards man Milton Reame-James was invited to join and the band went straight into the studio and recorded "The Human Menagerie" (in 1973) and "The Psychomodo" (in 1974). The band had UK hits with "Judy Teen" and "Mr. Soft", and did a major UK tour. The first single "Sebastian" didn't happen in the UK but did start a great interest in the band. It was, however, a huge hit in Holland and Belgium, staying at No 1 for weeks on end. The album rapidly drew attention and the violin/electric piano sound was soon recognised as an original trademark - Steve once famously declaring that the electric guitar was dead. A promotional tour of Europe followed. Cockney Rebel the original band - the untold story Steve Harley is still touring today and my personal favorite song is Mr. Soft from my old album Psychomodo

I was only young when I first heard DP. I was in the back room in Lilac place listening to 24 carat purple with Gerry Tipping and it must have been the summer of 1974 it was sunny and warm and the Tennis had been on the telly and all the kids in Lilac place had been out playing in the street (The good thing about being poor was no one had a car so the street was one big play ground) Kenny, George, Donald, Bernadette, Maureen, Zander, Alec, The Quinns We were all their kidding on we were nastazie or Conner or billy Jean King (depending on how you were feeling)

Welcome to Eric Bogle's official web-site! I hope you find enough inside to entertain, inform, inspire and perhaps even titillate. The web-site was designed mostly by Eric Bogle's mate Pete Titchener, with a miniscule input from Eric Bogle, so if you don't like the layout, colours etc., it's all Pete 's fault.

Fairport Convention played its first concert in a church hall in May 1967. Based in suburban north London, the group had coalesced around bass guitarist Ashley 'Tyger' Hutchings. The youngsters 'convened' As well as Hutchings and Nicol, there was lead guitarist Richard Thompson and Shaun Frater on drums. Fairport Convention's official history I managed to pick up a fantastic double album up in a small second hand record store in York when I was taking the kids to see Shrek in the cinema when we were on holiday. My wife was trying to get me out of the shop but I put my foot down with a firm and said Yes dear, right away dear.!!!!!

Jimi Hendrix live at royal albert hall my train a cominMan alive, how long do you have? The first time I heard Jimi was when I was hooked on Rock and Role. I loved Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis, Buddy Holly etc and my older brother Harry said to me this day "you like rock n role don't you? and I said yes He then put a set of head phones on me and I was subjected to Mr Hendrix playing blue sued shoes. I was sent home from school the next day because I couldn't hear the teacher. Jimi will always be the best!!!!!! Widely recognized as one of the most creative and influential musicians of the 20th century, Jimi Hendrix pioneered the explosive possibilities of the electric guitar. Hendrix's innovative style of combining fuzz, feedback and controlled distortion created a new musical form. Because he was unable to read or write music, it is nothing short of remarkable that Jimi Hendrix's meteoric rise in the music took place in just four short years. His musical language continues to influence a host of modern musicians, from George Clinton to Miles Davis, and Steve Vai to Jonny Lang.Jimi Hendrix, born Johnny Allen Hendrix at 10:15 a.m. on November 27, 1942, at Seattle's King County Hospital, was later renamed James Marshall by his father, James "Al" Hendrix. Young Jimmy (as he was referred to at the time) took an interest in music, drawing influence from virtually every major artist at the time, including B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Holly, and Robert Johnson. jimihendrix.com - Jimi Hendrix Biography
